The objective of this paper is to describe group screening designs which are cost effective methods of detecting individuals with rare infections in large populations various types of group screening design include Dorfman two stage designs, three stage design, multi stage design, Dorfmansterret and repeated procedures. In particular, we shall describe two stage, three stage, multi stage and dorfmansterret procedures. Applications of group screening designs are in blood testing and other problems. A framework for studying group screening designs is given. Procedures for studying two more infections at once are highlighted |
